Managing Director Nathalie van Dort holds a Bachelor Degree in Communication. Over the past years she has always kept her skills up to date by following numerous courses and programmes. She has over 15 years of experience as a Communication Advisor in New Zealand as well as in Europe.
She moved from the Netherlands to New Zealand in October 2004 and is loving living in New Zealand, especially in Hawke’s Bay. Her passion for Communication made her start FOCUS PR and Communication in February 2008. Acknowledging Nathalie can’t do it all on her own, FOCUS has strategic alliances with like-minded businesses. Nathalie is passionate about:
• YES: Young Enterprise Scheme
The Young Enterprise Scheme is an experimental business programme for secondary school students, Year 12 and 13. Yes involves working through the process of setting up and running a business for real. Since March 2009 Nathalie is a volunteer business mentor. This year she is mentoring a team from Havelock North High School.
• Hawke’s Bay Chamber of Commerce
Since June 2008 Nathalie has been elected as Board Member for the Hawke’s Bay Chamber of Commerce. You can see her at most Chamber Events. For more information go to the Chamber of Commerce website
